is doing something
better than doing nothing?
it sure feels like it

Bobbi the lost cat
makes a triumphant return
we're glad that she's home

I finished the race
faster than I expected
when's my next 5k?

the world doesn't stop
just because I've fallen down
pick myself back up

keeping my chin up
is an endurance event
keep on keeping on

I will be happy
despite the circumstances
because I'm grateful

count dollars and cents
it's one way of keeping score
not the only way

out of my control
frustrating circumstances
worry won't change it

the more that I run
the harder it seems to get
breaking through the wall

running on the track
of my old alma mater
was I faster then?
