One Haiku Every Day

uh-oh, stinky pants
Sean doesn't mind full diapers
fragrant little boy

some rhinestone glasses
just the accessory to
spruce up my wardrobe

you can't turn around
to the way it used to be
time keeps moving on

what's the evidence?
skeptical not cynical
not emotion based

Is that a big cough?
or is it silly laughter?
trying out new sounds

when push comes to shove
I will look out for my own
fighting back that fear

for crying baby
there's something about a swing
that can soothe and calm

Sean enjoys the rain
looking out across the pond
watching the drops fall

my brain in neutral
it almost never happens
I have racing thoughts

on 9-11
we remember where we were
when the whole world changed
