One Haiku Every Day

trying to predict
or at least making a plan
it beats reacting

sometimes ideas
of the exciting and new
better than having

icy roads abound
time to gear up for winter
slow it down, lead foot

close up for detail
spending the time at high mag
looks great when zoomed out

gray November day
the trees are closing up shop
"We'll see you next Spring!"

why do I live here?
can't tolerate the winter
the older I get

brown dog gives kisses
she's sweet and smart and loving
but mostly smoochy

reaction to fear
is to run away from it
should take it head on

things are just O.K.
sometimes good enough is enough
grateful for what I have

sometimes a kind word
is better than being paid
has it's own value
